The Capital city is Washington D.C. The USA is the fourth largest country of the world. The United States of America is a federation of 50 states.
Part of the USA is Alaska and the Hawaiian Islands. The largest rivers are the Mississippi and Missouri. The highest point is Mount McKinley in Alaska.
History
America was discovered in 1492 by Christopher Columbus. He called the native people Indians. In 1860’s was civil war between North and South. The United States was officially founded on July 4, 1776. This was the date the former British colonies declared their independence
Political system
There are two main political parties: the Republicans (conservative) and the Democrats (liberal). New President of the USA Donald Trump was elected last year. The most favourite president was John Fitzgerald Kennedy in 6O’s. He was kill on 22 November 1963 in Dallas, Texas.
Famous people
From USA is a lots of famous and very popular people either (buď) singers, actors, artist, or athletes. The best singers are Elvis Presley, Michael Jacson, actors are Marilyn Monroe, Brad Pit, athletes – Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and each other. I think that USA has a famous people, known on all over the world.
Sports
In USA people like watching sports beside with Czech republic. They have many sports and known athletes. Americans people prefer baseball – Major League Baseball, American football – National Football League, Basketball – National Basketball League, But other sports they witch too, maybe less like golf, box, jockey, but they witch this too
Places of interest in the USA
There are 59 national parks. Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls and many National parks are very popular destination for tourists
New York- is the most populous and there are Statue of Liberty, Empire state building, Time square..
Washington D.C.- this is the capital city and there is white house and there is president of USA
Las Vegas – famous for rodeo festivals and casino gambling
Los Angeles – known for Hollywood, the centre of the film industry
